Presently the district exchanges experiences with 17 partners from 12 European countries with a view to establish an international network in the scope of economy, tourism, education and culture.
On the 23rd of June 2000 the district Dahme-Spreewald and the district Wolsztyn (Poland) have officially sealed their partnership. The political and social developments in both districts indicate many analogies. Consistently the new forms of cooperative dialogue are being discovered.

Actively and foresighted we try to seize the chances offered by an expanding Europe. We aim to use the European experiences and promotion possibilities specifically for our region. As a partner and a coordinator in other national and European projects we contribute to the creation of international business climate.

The understanding inside of Europe is one of the fundamental components for a good and peaceful cooperation. There fore the European Association Dahme-Spreewald made the strengthening and the development of European awareness through the fostering of international meetings and understanding its main business.
